Analytical Scientist (m/f/d) Permanent Employee · Hamburg

Your mission

Infinite Roots is seeking a skilled and experienced Analytical Scientist to join our team in Hamburg. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in analytical chemistry, expertise in fermentation and extraction processes, and hands-on experience with a wide range of analytical techniques. The Analytical Scientist will be responsible for conducting and leading analytical experiments, method development and validation, data analysis, and reporting. 

  • Develop and validate analytical methods for the analysis of fermentation broth, sugars , organic acids in various matrices

  • Perform analytical testing using techniques such as HPLC, MS, GC, and IC 

  • Analyze and interpret data to provide insights and recommendations to the research team

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research and development projects

  • Collaborate with external labs and research facilities for external analysis 

  • Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and conclusions

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements

Your profile

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a research or biotech setting

  • Proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC, MS, and GC

  • Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Good communication skills in English

Your mission

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Quality Manager to join our dynamic team at Infinite Roots. As a leading player in the industry, we are dedicated to transforming food consumption through innovative solutions and groundbreaking advancements. The Quality Manager will play a crucial role in establishing and sustaining an internal Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and hygiene standards on our way to launch our product portfolio.

  • Improve and maintain the internal Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with international quality management standards, EU certifications and customer expectations

  • Responsibility of the company’s food safety and quality agenda by managing and developing the quality team, and driving performance to meet organizational goals

  • Lead the development and integration of new quality processes especially in strategic projects, ensuring alignment with company quality and food safety standards

  • Manage documentation internally and with external partners in a complex supply chain, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and certification standards.

  • Identify and communicate quality issues to senior management, supporting the development and implementation of HACCP plans, pre-requisite and risk prevention programs for new products and processes

  • Collaborate with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and third party logistic providers to ensure outsourced production, transportation and warehousing processes meet company quality and food safety expectations

  • Prepare and manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry certifications and regulatory requirements

  • Serve as the contact person for food safety authorities, ensuring company operations meet all relevant regulations

  • Prepare and manage future certification processes, e.g. FSSC 22000, ISF

Your profile

  • Master’s Degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemical Engineering or a similar relevant field Minimum 3 years of experience in food quality management systems, working in a quality assurance/management role

  • Knowledge of food regulations and organic, vegan, vegetarian certification and specific claim validation (e.g. free-from)  procedures in food manufacturing

  • Experience with natural and organic products is a plus

  • Excellent self-organizational skills, ability to multitask, and thrive in a dynamic environment

  • Experience in leading smaller teams, with the ability to guide, motivate, and manage team members effectively 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English required, German proficiency is a plus
